SYDNEY, Dec 29 AAP - A teenager has been charged after the stolen car he was driving without a licence hit another vehicle during a pursuit in Sydney's west, police say.

Police spotted five teenagers inside the Holden Commodore, which had been reported stolen at Doonside about 6.20pm (AEDT) on Sunday.

Officers pursued the vehicle to nearby Blacktown, where the car crashed into an elderly couple's vehicle at the intersection of Richmond Road and Lyton Street, police said.

Four of the teenagers were arrested at the scene of the accident, but one evaded police and ran off.

The elderly couple were uninjured in the crash, but the 15-year-old driver of the Commodore suffered a cut to the head and was taken to Blacktown hospital.

Both cars were left with minor damage.

The driver, a Quakers Hill boy, has been charged with dangerous driving and being an unlicensed driver.

He has been conditionally bailed to appear at Parramatta Children's Court on February 12.

The other three teenagers aged 16, 15, and 14, have been released without charge at this stage, while investigations into the identity of the fifth teenager are continuing.
